Our Assortment

Cimicifuga ramosa Brunette

A great but difficult plant. This plant is demanding to the soil. It needs to be airy and a constant moistness but not too sandy so best to have lots of leaf-soil and organic dust. If one of these conditions are not met the plant could wither and get sick. The plant is very graceful for those that can help it to survive. Dark chocolate colored leaf with in the after summer graceful white plumes that even smell sweet. After a cold night the flowers can spontaneously turn pinkish. See the pictures. The plant is beautiful in the winter as well because of its dark purple seeds.
